Better absorbed and more!
Acerola berries have more than just vitamin c in the fruit themselves. They have b vitamins, zinc, and other antioxidants. Compared to synthetic vitamin c(ascorbic acid and other forms), acerola is better absorbed and utilized by the body. One single acerola cherry has been said to contain more vitamin c than 1 single orange. One orange contains between 30-90 mg. Because the extract is 4:1, that means a single capsule of this supplement(which provides 500 mg of the extract, not vitamin c) may contain between 90-500 mg of vitamin c. It also won't hurt your stomach and cause indigestion due to the better absorption. Although, consuming high amounts of anything with vitamin c can cause your stomach to buildup a lot of vitamin c that is left undigested. I have purchased this product from another company to great effects as well. The vitamin c content varies as stated by almost every acerola supplement manufacturer. My guess is 90-500 mg of vitamin c due to it being a 4:1 ratio extract. Not being fresh off the plant may factor in and who knows how the actual process of making this works but acerola is a very healthy fruit and is all natural so this seems better than synthetic vitamin c and is. I have energy and focus because vitamin c plays a crucial role in creating and cofactoring in neurotransmitter production(norepinephrine and dopamine specifically as well as oxytocin production)Acerola berries have more than just vitamin c in the fruit themselves.
